Courtney Boyle has a diverse work experience in the field of sleep medicine. Courtney currently holds the position of Director of Training and Education at Nyxoah since 2020. In this role, they are responsible for training internal and external staff for pre-commercialization clinical trials in the United States. Courtney also contributes to the creation of educational materials and manages the transfer of data/scoring to different scoring corelabs.
Prior to their current role, Courtney worked as a Manager of Training and Education at Nyxoah from February 2023 to August 2023. Here, they played a key role in training and certifying field experts, vendors, and customer support personnel. Courtney was also responsible for managing the Polysomnography Corelab.
Before joining Nyxoah, Courtney worked as a Field Clinical Engineer specializing in research and treatment using a novel implantable medical device for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea from August 2020 to February 2023. In this position, they provided daily field clinical support, conducted implant procedures, and managed device programming, safety, and troubleshooting. Courtney was actively involved in training programs for surgeons, physicians, site staff, and patients.
From 2018 to 2022, Courtney served as an Adjunct Professor of Neurodiagnostic Technology and Polysomnography at Delaware County Community College. Prior to that, they worked at Main Line Health as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, Registered Sleep Technician, and had certification in Clinical Sleep Health from 2007 to 2020. Courtney started their career as a Polysomnographic Technician at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania from 2005 to 2007.
Courtney Boyle attended Padua Academy and Octorara Area High School but did not complete a degree at either institution. Courtney later obtained an Associate of Science degree in Polysomnography from Thomas Edison State University. In terms of certifications, Courtney has completed the GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Medical Devices course from the CITI Program, as well as Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association. Courtney is also certified in Clinical Sleep Health by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and holds the titles of Registered Polysomnographic Technician from the same institution and Registered Sleep Technician from the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
