Daryl Clarkson is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in both public and private sectors. Currently serving as Director of ICT, Architecture and Infrastructure at NZ Police since January 2024, Daryl previously held the position of Head of Information Systems at the University of Otago from June 2018 to December 2023, where notable achievements included transforming the Information Systems Group to a product-based service delivery model. Prior to that, Daryl was Head of IT Infrastructure at the University of Otago, overseeing technology infrastructure services during a significant centralization of technology management. Daryl began the career at Allied Press Limited, where roles included Operations Manager and Information Technology Manager, focusing on operations leadership and technology-driven transformation in a high-stakes publishing environment. Daryl holds an MBA from the University of Otago and engineering qualifications from the University of Canterbury and Central Institute of Technology, Wellington.
