Jake O'Flaherty

Jake O'Flaherty currently serves as the Senior Communications & Digital Advisor to the Prime Minister of New Zealand at the Department of Internal Affairs since November 2023. Additionally, O'Flaherty has been involved in various roles as a Ground Announcer for New Zealand Rugby, New Zealand Cricket, Hurricanes, Auckland Rugby Union, The Blues, and Bay of Plenty Rugby Union, with a notable contribution during the Rugby World Cup 2021. Previous experience includes serving as the Senior Communications & Digital Advisor and External Engagement Lead for the Leader of the Opposition at the New Zealand Parliament. O'Flaherty's background in broadcasting includes a role as a Television Host and Commentator for Sky Sport’s rugby shows. O'Flaherty holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Auckland University of Technology, completed in November 2021.
