Luke Crawford has extensive experience in roles focused on Māori relations and community engagement. Currently, as Kaihautu Māori NZR - Kaumatua Māori for New Zealand Rugby since June 2008, Luke Crawford plays a pivotal role in fostering Māori cultural connection within the organization. Prior to this position, Luke Crawford served as Senior Advisor Māori at Statistics NZ from April 2008 to August 2018, where responsibilities included managing Māori information and relationships. Additionally, Luke Crawford held the role of Pouwhakataki Māori with NZ Police from April 1982 to April 2008. Luke Crawford completed secondary education at Hato Paora College, earning a Higher Leaving Certificate in 1979.
