Nima Ziraknejad, Ph.D., P.Eng. has a diverse work experience in the fields of medical technology, automotive research, and academia. Nima is the CEO and Founder of NZ Technologies Inc., a medical technology innovation and device production company focused on improving patient outcomes through advanced systems engineering. Prior to starting their own company in 2014, they served as the AUTO21 Regional Representative for Western Canada, working on automotive research initiatives. Nima also pursued their Ph.D. at The University of British Columbia from 2009 to 2014, focusing on their research. Additionally, they worked at Weir Motion Metrics as a Product Manager for FragMetrics and later as a Project Manager and Systems Design Engineer. Dr. Nima Ziraknejad holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Machine Vision and Robotics, which they obtained from The University of British Columbia. Nima pursued their doctoral degree from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their M.A.Sc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia, where they studied from 2004 to 2007. In addition to their academic qualifications, Dr. Ziraknejad also obtained the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from Engineers and Geoscientists BC in October 2008.
