James Timperley is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the transport sector. Currently serving as the Establishment Manager for the National Ticketing Solution at Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency since July 2020, James also provides consultancy services through Timperley Partners, starting in October 2018. Prior to these roles, James held various leadership positions at FirstGroup PLC, including Retail Development Director and Director of Smart Ticketing from September 2013 to July 2018. Experience at Transport for London spans from January 2007 to September 2013, where James progressed through roles such as Programme Manager and Senior Project Manager. Earlier career roles include Project Manager and Business Analyst at the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) from July 2003 to January 2006. Academically, James earned a BA with Honors in Politics and History from Victoria University of Wellington between 1999 and 2002.
