Catherine Beech MB, ChB, OBE is a prominent entrepreneur and independent biotechnology investor with extensive experience in the life sciences sector. Currently serving as an adviser to start-up life science companies at o2h Ventures since January 2019, Catherine Beech also holds directorships at Exonate Limited and Plant Biosciences Limited. Previously, Catherine Beech was the Chief Executive Officer of Exonate Limited (2014-2015) and Oval Medical Technologies Limited (2009-March 2013), where leadership included guiding the company through early establishment and securing funding. As the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aitua, Catherine Beech played a key role in supporting venture capital initiatives. Additional leadership experience includes membership on the Governing Board of the Technology Strategy Board (2005-2007) and co-founding The Cambridge Gateway Fund (1999-2006). Earlier career positions at DuPont Pharmaceuticals, Farmitalia Carlo Erba, and Lederle Laboratories focused on medical affairs and leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Education was obtained from the University of Birmingham Medical School.
