Tom Javorcic

Tom Javorcic is an experienced library professional with a focus on local history and special collections, currently serving as the Local History Librarian and Special Collections Librarian at Oak Lawn Public Library since August 2019. Prior to this role, Tom managed marketing, communications, and public relations for the same library, effectively promoting its resources and programming. Tom's background includes event marketing management for LUNGevity Foundation, where responsibilities encompassed creating marketing materials for national fundraising events, and serving as Creative Director at Maple Leaf Studio, specializing in web and print design. Tom also held the position of Director of Graphic Services at Schaumburg Township District Library, overseeing all graphic and exhibit communications. Tom Javorcic holds a Master of Library Science from Dominican University and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Illinois State University.
