Ilias Belharouak is a distinguished scientist and academic with extensive experience in materials science and solid-state chemistry. Currently serving as a Corporate Fellow and Head of Electrification Section at Oak Ridge National Laboratory since November 2017, Ilias has held various leadership roles, including Distinguished Scientist and Group Leader. Concurrently, Ilias is the Editor of the Journal of Power Sources at Elsevier and a Professor at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Previous appointments include Professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University and Research Director at Qatar Foundation. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Materials Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at ICMCB, CNRS, Université de Bordeaux. Ilias holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Solid State Chemistry and a Master's degree in the same field from Université de Bordeaux, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Faculté des Sciences Semlalia Marrakech.
