Solon M. Phillips

Solon M. Phillips serves as Corporation Counsel for Oakland County, Michigan Government since September 2021. Previously, Solon held the position of General Counsel at the 36th Judicial District Court from March 2020 to September 2021, and prior to that, served as Chief Legal Officer and Director of Legal and Labor Affairs for Southfield Public Schools from October 2017 to March 2020. Additional experience includes roles as Principal at SMP & Associates, PLC, Deputy Treasurer for Wayne County, Chief Administrative Officer at the City of Detroit Law Department, and various positions within Wayne County Michigan, including Deputy Chief of Staff and Assistant Corporation Counsel. Solon earned a BS in Political Science from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and a JD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
