Mike Armstrong is currently a Board Member at Oakland Museum of California. Prior to this, they were with Percheron Real Estate Partners. Mike has also worked with Carbon Lighthouse and GI Partners.
Armstrong started their career as a Summer Associate at J.P. Morgan in the real estate investment banking division. Mike then became an Associate in the real estate acquisitions division. In 2009, they were promoted to Vice President in the Mezz & pref equity division.
In 2008, Armstrong left J.P. Morgan to work as a Consultant for Qatar Foundation on sustainability initiatives. Mike then returned to J.P. Morgan in 2014 as Director - Head of acquisitions for technology real estate investments. In this role, they were responsible for sourcing and closing direct real estate investments, as well as investment committee responsibilities.
In 2019, Armstrong left J.P. Morgan to join Carbon Lighthouse as Senior Advisor. Mike then left Carbon Lighthouse in October 2019 to join Oakland Museum of California as a Board Member.
Mike Armstrong has an Artium Baccalaureus (AB) in Economics from Harvard University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Management from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Mike also has certification from the CAIA Association as an Alternative Investment Analyst Charter (CAIA Charter) and certification from the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED Green Associate.
