Adrian Torres

The Bike Fix Mechanic (community Outreach) at Oakland Public Library

Adrian Torres is a dedicated professional with diverse experience in community outreach and library services. Currently a Graduate and Pre-Apprentice in the MC3 Program at Cypress Mandela, Inc. since March 2024, Adrian also has been involved with the Oakland Public Library since January 2013, serving as The Bike Fix Mechanic and Library Aide, where responsibilities include bike repairs and supporting library operations. In addition to these roles, Adrian is actively engaged with several organizations, including Students Rising Above as a CODEversity Fellow and College Track as a Rising Star, while also participating in the Oakland Promise Scholarship Program and being an alumnus of Genesys Works - Bay Area. Adrian has completed an Information Technology Internship at Gensler and has a solid academic background, holding an Associate's degree in Mathematics from Laney College, a High School Diploma from Skyline High School, and an embARC Berkeley Certificate in Environmental Design/Architecture from UC Berkeley.
