Erin Sanders has extensive experience in library and archival services, currently serving as the Head of the Oakland History Center at Oakland Public Library since July 2014, after holding positions as Branch Manager and Librarian II. Prior roles include Assistant Archivist at the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Librarian at both Berkeley Public Library and Chicago Public Library, where seven years were dedicated to reference services. Additional experience encompasses positions as Archival Assistant at Shel Silverstein Archives and Newberry Library, as well as roles at Old Town School of Folk Music. Erin Sanders earned a Master’s degree in Library & Information Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
