Jessica Carrier

Jessica Carrier currently serves as the Executive Director of Special Populations at Oakland Schools since October 2022. Prior to this role, Jessica held several positions in the Troy School District, including Director and Assistant Director for Special Education from June 2017 to September 2022. Jessica's earlier experience includes serving as the Director of Special Education and Middle School Principal at Fraser Public Schools from June 2011 to June 2017, where Jessica implemented multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and transitioned to a 1:1 mobile learning environment. Jessica began their career as a Special Education Teacher and later held roles including Assistant Principal and Teacher Consultant at Richards Middle School. Jessica holds advanced degrees in Educational Leadership and Special Education from Saginaw Valley State University and a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Central Michigan University.
