Karen Combs

Karen Combs is an experienced accounting professional with a robust background in financial management and support. Currently serving as Accounting Manager at Oakland Schools since December 2019, Karen previously held the role of Business/Financial Support Specialist for Bloomfield Hills Schools. Prior to this, Karen worked at ZF Group as an Accountant II, supporting financial operations in the Steering and Engineering division, and spent 17 years at Oakland Schools in various roles, including Financial Specialist III, where responsibilities included managing financial services for Workforce Development Grants. With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Northwood University, Karen has demonstrated proficiency in grant compliance, budget management, and operational support throughout a progressive career in finance.
