Maisa Lead Facilitator at OAKLAND SCHOOLS

Lisa Kraiza is an experienced educator and facilitator specializing in the development and implementation of curriculum aligned with the Common Core State Standards. Currently serving as the MAISA Lead Facilitator at Oakland Schools since 2013, Lisa plans and presents professional development for teachers. As a member of the Core Leadership Team for the Oakland Writing Project, Lisa contributes to educational initiatives and has been a lead writer for the MAISA Common Core ELA 6-8 Units of Study since 2011. With a background in consulting, curriculum writing, and facilitation at Oak Park Schools since 2000, Lisa also mentors teachers and implements ELA units to enhance student critical thinking. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University and a Secondary Teaching Certificate in English and Psychology from Eastern Michigan University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from Bowling Green State University.
