Liza Sovel

Liza Sovel currently serves as Executive Assistant II at Oakland Schools, beginning in July 2024. Previously, Liza held various positions at Walled Lake Consolidated Schools from February 2009 to July 2024, including Executive Assistant to the Superintendent, Secretary to the Director of Community Relations and Marketing, Student Services Secretary, and Secretary to the Director of Athletics, where responsibilities spanned communication support, event coordination, and administration within the school district. Liza also worked as a Legal Assistant at Paynter & Associates from June 2007 to February 2009, managing the caseload of a Family Law Attorney. Initial experience included a role as Building Secretary at Walled Lake Consolidated Schools from August 2006 to June 2007. Liza attended Ferris State University and Oakland Community College for education.
