Matthew Watson

Matthew Watson is the founder of Oakland Search, a talent agency established in January 2020 that focuses on sourcing top percentile software engineers globally, combining executive search and contingency recruitment methods. Prior to this venture, Matthew served as the Head of Technology Recruitment at Campbell North from March 2011 to October 2019, where an impressive track record included being a Top Billing consultant for eight consecutive years and generating over £4 million in revenue through 150 successful hires. Earlier experience includes a role as a recruitment consultant at an IT search firm and participation as a player on the Oxford MCCU and Bermuda national cricket teams until February 2023, despite personal challenges related to injury. Matthew completed education at Oxford Brookes University and Dr Challoner's Grammar School.
