Luna Alonso-Glasner

Teaching Artist, MUSE Program at Oakland Symphony

Luna Alonso-Glasner is a versatile and experienced educator and artist, currently working as a Teaching Artist in the MUSE Program at Oakland Symphony. With a background in cello instruction and diverse teaching roles, Luna has also worked as an Artist in Residence at Berkeley Youth Orchestra and a Cello Instructor at Music Mission San Francisco. Additionally, Luna has experience as a TK-8 Teacher at Lazear Public Charter and as a Climate Corps Education Outdoors Fellow with AmeriCorps. Luna's passion for teaching extends to their volunteer work with indigenous communities in Ecuador, showcasing their commitment to cultural exchange and education. Luna holds a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental and Urban Studies from Bard College.

Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra Omid Zoufonoun, Youth Orchestra Principal Conductor The Youth Orchestra is recognized as an outstanding musical organization in Oakland and the San Francisco Bay area. Today it consists of over 100 talented music students aged 12 to 22 from throughout the region.
