Oakland Symphony
Ross Gershenson is a 4th Horn player for the Oakland Symphony since September 1976. Ross also worked as a Junior High School Music Instructor for the Fremont Unified School District from 1989 to June 2019. Ross holds a California Teaching Credential in Single Subject Music from California State University Hayward and a Master of Arts in French Horn Performance from University of Southern California. Ross earned their Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from California State University-Hayward.

In addition to presenting their own concerts and workshops, the OSC collaborates with many performing arts groups. Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra Omid Zoufonoun, Youth Orchestra Principal Conductor The Youth Orchestra is recognized as an outstanding musical organization in Oakland and the San Francisco Bay area. Today it consists of over 100 talented music students aged 12 to 22 from throughout the region.
