Amy Cheney

Amy Cheney currently serves as the Director of Libraries at Oakland Unified School District, a position held since August 2015. Prior to this role, Amy was the Program Manager and Director at Alameda County Library Juvenile Hall from September 2000 to August 2015, achieving notable results such as significantly increasing reading engagement among reluctant readers and successfully implementing multiple grant programs. Amy Cheney holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences from San Jose State University and has academic experiences at San Francisco State University and the University of California, Berkeley.
