Francisco Alvarado serves as the Community School Manager at Oakland Unified School District since October 2018. Previously, experience includes roles as a Multisystemic Therapist at Community Options for Families and Youth, and as a NASW Delegate for the California Chapter. Francisco co-founded Graduates Reaching a Dream Deferred, where responsibilities included program budget oversight and delivering workshops for undocumented youth. Other experiences encompass facilitating educational programs for low-income parents, conducting research to improve foster care services, and serving as an Instructional Program Coordinator for youth empowerment initiatives. Francisco holds a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Justice Studies from San Jose State University.
