Jarrett Austin-Thomas has a diverse background in education and athletic program management, currently serving as a Talent Division Associate at Oakland Unified School District since September 2019, and as Athletic Director at Pace High School since September 2015. In the role of Athletic Director, Jarrett has successfully organized over 80 events for various sports teams, implemented innovative fundraising strategies yielding more than $5,000, and managed a student-athlete database with consistent compliance in league audits. As a Special Education Teacher at Pace High School, Jarrett prepared numerous IEPs and facilitated student support activities, significantly enhancing student performance in state assessments. Previous experience includes serving as a Teaching Fellow with NYC Teaching Fellows, where Jarrett contributed to curriculum design and lesson adaptation, and as Advanced Sales Coordinator at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, managing payment processes and coordinating group visits. Jarrett holds a Master of Education degree in Special Education from Brooklyn College and a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from The University of Kansas.
