Stephen Chee

Stephen Chee is an experienced mathematics educator currently serving as the High School Math Teacher and leader of the math department at MetWest High School within the Oakland Unified School District since February 2023. Previous roles include teaching AP Calculus AB and Calculus BC at Amethod Public Schools from August 2015 to October 2022, and serving as the Mathematics Department Chair at Oakland Charter High School from August 2019 to July 2021. Additional teaching experience encompasses instruction in various math subjects, including Honors Geometry and Algebra I, at Albany High School and Newark Memorial High School, along with curriculum development for Honors courses at American Indian Public High School. Stephen Chee has pursued advanced education, earning a Master of Science in Mathematics from California State University - East Bay and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley. Currently enrolled in a Data Science diploma program at BrainStation, the educator combines extensive teaching experience with a strong academic background.
