Dave Walz

Dave Walz currently serves as the Manager of the HVAC Department at Oakland University since May 2024. Previously, Dave held various leadership roles at United Wholesale Mortgage, including Director of Engineering and Senior Team Lead Engineering. Prior to that, Dave was an O&M Engineering Practices and Energy Consultant at DRW Services and spent 25 years at Kelly Services, where roles included Director of Facilities and Manager of Mechanical Maintenance. Early career experiences included positions at NBD Bank and Security Bank & Trust, as well as Service Master and Detroit Medical Center, where foundational skills in HVAC were developed. Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Technology from Ferris State University, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Wayne State University, and a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University.
