Debbie Barry

Debbie Barry is a semi-retired English Composition and ESL teacher with extensive experience in writing consulting and tutoring. Currently recovering from a long illness, Debbie has worked as a writing consultant and embedded writing specialist at Oakland University since 2013, assisting students in all phases of the writing process. As a self-published author since 2012, Debbie has produced several books on family genealogy and local history. Previous roles include tutoring at Illinois Eastern Community Colleges and various customer service positions in retail and hospitality. Debbie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in English and Social Sciences from Ashford University and has attended multiple educational institutions throughout the years.
