Peter McMorrow has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Peter started their career as a Machinery Technician with the United States Coast Guard from August 1984 to May 1989. Following this, they worked as a Membership Director at the YMCA of Greater Worcester for nearly eight years. In February 1998, Peter joined South High Community School, where they took on various roles including History teacher, Action Plan Facilitator, and Data Coach until July 2007. Peter then worked at Wachusett Regional High School as an Assistant Principal from July 2007 to July 2010. After that, they served as the Assistant Principal at Central Tree Middle School in the Wachusett Regional School District from August 2010 to July 2011. Peter then joined Worcester Public Schools as the Assistant Principal at Doherty Memorial High School from August 2011 to October 2013. Peter later transitioned to Gardner Middle School as the Interim Principal from December 2016 to July 2017. Currently, Peter is the Principal of Gardner Academy of Learning and Technology starting from July 2017.
Peter McMorrow holds a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership and Administration from Cambridge College, which they obtained from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Master's Degree in Secondary curriculum design from Worcester State University, from 2000 to 2002. Peter also holds a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Law Studies from Worcester State University, which they earned from 1990 to 1993. Additionally, they have a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Worcester State University and a Master of Education degree in an unspecified field of study from the same institution.
