Kara Thompson is the current Director of Operations at Oakwood Management Co. Kara has over 20 years of experience in the property management industry, starting as a property manager at Lifestyle Communities Management Inc in 1997. In their role as regional manager, they were responsible for managing and operating 700+ apartment homes and 500 condominium homes. Kara was also responsible for training and auditing staff as well as delivering customer service. Kara then spent 5 years as a real estate agent at K and S Realty before moving to Redwood Living as a regional manager in 2013. Kara spent 5 years at Redwood Living before moving to IRT Living in 2018. Kara spent 2 years at IRT Living before returning to Oakwood Management Co. in 2020.
Kara Thompson has an associates degree in business management from Columbus State Community College. Kara also has a certification in real estate sales from the State of Ohio and another certification from Hondros in real estate sales. Kara is also a managing cosmetologist from Nationwide Beauty Academy and a certified notary licensend from the State of Ohio.
Kara Thompson reports to Dana Moore, Vice President of Operations. They are on a team with and Mary Sadowski - Controller.
