Sam Sotelo

Sam Sotelo is an experienced music educator and performer with a diverse background in music instruction and performance. Currently serving as the Upper School Music Teacher at Oakwood School in Morgan Hill, California, since August 2019, Sam teaches various music ensembles and private lessons. As a professional musician, Sam has been a freelance drummer since 1989, versatile in multiple genres including jazz, rock, and Latin. Additionally, Sam is the proprietor of Samusic Productions, offering audio recording services and private music instruction. Previous roles include adjunct faculty instructor at Gavilan College, percussion instructor at Advent Lutheran Church, and private drum and guitar teacher. Sam's educational credentials include advanced degrees in ethnomusicology and music improvisation, along with specialized training in recording engineering and drumset studies.
