John Trease

John Trease is the Director of Application Modernization at Oakwood. John has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, holding various positions such as Programmer/Analyst, Director of IT, and Head of Engineering.

Trease started their career as a Programmer/Analyst at Gateway EDI in 2000. John then spent three years as an IT Consultant at Brown Shoe Company before becoming the Director of IT at Maritz in 2004. Trease was with Maritz for four years before moving on to Realtime Results as a Sr. Application Developer in 2010.

After a year at Realtime Results, Trease joined Protective Life as a Sr. IT Manager, Application Development. John spent a year at Protective Life before joining Unit4 in September 2015 as an Engineering Manager / IT. Trease was with Unit4 for three years before being promoted to Head of Engineering for U4SM North America in June 2018. John left Unit4 in October 2019 to join Daugherty Business Solutions as a Principal.

John Trease is an IT major at Columbia College.
