Iain Freeland

Iain Freeland serves as the National Director for Secondary Academies at Oasis Community Learning since October 2021, overseeing the transformation of 23 secondary academies towards achieving 'good' or 'outstanding' ratings by Ofsted. In addition, Iain has held multiple roles including Ofsted Inspector and Their Majesty's Inspector since August 2015, evaluating schools and colleges under Section 5 and Section 8 arrangements. Previous experience includes Director of Resources at Templer Academy Schools Trust, Additional Inspector at Tribal Group, Deputy Headteacher at Launceston College, and Assistant Headteacher at Torpoint Community College. Iain's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Topographic Science from the University of Glasgow and various professional qualifications in education and school leadership.
