Rishi Balakrishnan

Rishi Balakrishnan has a wealth of work experience. Rishi began their career in 2016 as a Computer Hardware Intern at Unixsurplus Inc. In 2018, they were a Software Intern at Omniscient CRM. In 2020, they were a Cofounder and Lead Backend Engineer at RecTree, a Research Assistant at the Computational Approaches to Human Learning Lab at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Research Assistant at Professor Anil Aswani's Lab, where they created a machine learning model to anonymize text. In 2021, they were a Backend and AI Intern at Allganize and a Statistics 140 Coursestaff (Tutor and Undergraduate Student Instructor) at the University of California, Berkeley. Finally, in 2022, they are currently a Software Engineer at Oasis Labs and a Thought Leadership and Practice Intern: AI and Fairness at the Alliance for Community Development.

Rishi Balakrishnan attended Bellarmine College Preparatory from 2015 to 2019 before enrolling at the University of California, Berkeley in 2019. Rishi is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
