James Bryce Clark

James Bryce Clark serves as the General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer at OASIS since February 2003, overseeing licensing, intellectual property rights, data protection, and compliance on a global scale. Additional roles include General Counsel and Director of Standards at OASIS, where responsibilities encompassed managing industry committees focused on open standards and open source projects. Clark is actively involved with the EU Commission Multistakeholder Platform on ICT Standardisation, contributing to policy and e-procurement discussions. Experience further includes serving as Of Counsel at O'Connor Cochran LLP, as a member of the ISO/IEC/ITU Global e-Business MoU Management Group, and as Interim Executive Director of the Open Mobility Foundation. Prior work includes a delegate role at UNCITRAL's e-Commerce Working Group and membership on the Advisory Committee of W3C. James Bryce Clark holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota.
