Hannah Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning from 2010 to 2023. Hannah began their career at Partners In Health as a Development Assistant and later became the Executive Assistant to the Chief Development Officer and Director of Development. Hannah then worked for Obama for America as a Field Organizer, building and managing voter outreach operations. Hannah joined Benenson Strategy Group as an Analyst, where they developed strategies for political, institutional, and corporate clients. At The World Bank, Hannah served as a Communications & Knowledge Specialist and later as a Communications & Knowledge Consultant, working on projects related to results-based financing and public-private partnerships. Most recently, Hannah worked at the Obama Foundation in various roles, including Director of Donor Relations & Events and Deputy Director of Donor Relations. Hannah was instrumental in developing and executing the Foundation's donor relations strategy and communication materials, contributing to over $1B raised to date.
Hannah Hughes obtained a Master of Science degree in History of International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a concentration in Africa at Bowdoin College from 2005 to 2009. Before their undergraduate studies, they attended the Cambridge School of Weston, MA from 2003 to 2005, and Marymount International School in Rome, Italy from 2001 to 2003.
