Nora Semel currently serves as the Vice President of Programs at the Obama Foundation, overseeing programming initiatives at the Obama Presidential Center since April 2023. Prior to this role, Nora held various prominent positions at Apple from August 2017 to April 2023, including Senior Head of Cultural Programming for the Americas and Head of Cultural Programming in Chicago. Nora's experience in the arts and communications sector includes significant roles at the University of Chicago, where responsibilities spanned external relations, communications management, and visitor experience from October 2011 to August 2017. Additionally, Nora contributed to the Guggenheim Museum in external affairs roles and has a solid foundation in marketing and project management from previous positions at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, and other organizations. Nora holds multiple degrees and certificates, including a BA in Art History and a BS in Marketing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as a Certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of Chicago.
