Valerie Manning

Valerie Manning is currently a member of the Board of Advisors at OBAP. Valerie has previously held positions as Vice President, Deputy Head of Engineering and Maintenance at Airbus, Chief of Staff to the EADS Chief Technical Officer also at Airbus, Consultant at McKinsey & Company, and Aeronautical Consultant at Self. Valerie Manning's experience spans 30 years with their most recent position being at OBAP and prior to that they spent 20 years in the United States Air Force where they served as an Officer with a focus on engineering, acquisitions, R&T/S&T, security, program management, consulting, and attaché.

Valerie Manning attended Princeton University, where they earned a BSE in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Valerie then attended Stanford University, where they earned an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics, followed by a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics. Valerie has also received certification from the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency as a Flight Instructor - FI (A) / CFI - Valid For Night Instruction, as well as certification from the EASA - European Aviation Safety Agency as an EASA Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) - frozen. Additionally, they have received certification from the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency as an A320 Type Rating and as an EASA CPL ME-IR, JOC, MCC, Advanced UPRT.
