Xiying Wu

Dr. Wu received her Medical Degree from the Medical school of Jilin University in Changchun, China. After eight years of basic biomedical research in China, Dr. Wu decided to pursue an advanced biomedical research in the United States. She joined Dr. Gimble’s lab at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in 1991, began long time collaboration with Dr. Gimble.

Since, Dr. Wu has worked in stromal/stem cell research in and out of academia, has co-authored over 50 manuscripts with Dr. Gimble. In 2012, she moved to a full-time position as Vice President of Research & Development at LaCell LLC. Dr. Wu plays an integral role in determining Obatala Science’s commercial and scientific direction.
