Gareth McKinley

Gareth McKinley has extensive work experience in the field of quantity surveying and commercial management. Gareth started their career as a Placement Quantity Surveyor at Farrans (Construction) Limited in 2002, where they worked until 2003. Gareth then worked as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at Larsen Contracts from 2004 to 2005. Following that, they joined SIAC (NI) Ltd as a Quantity Surveyor from 2005 to 2008, and then resumed the role from 2008 to 2013.

In 2013, they joined TAL Civil Engineering Ltd as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, where they successfully completed various projects, including public realm schemes in Lisburn, Ballynahinch, and Ballymena, construction of new cells at the Drehid Landfill site, and sports pitches and landfill restoration projects. Gareth continued to work at TAL Civil Engineering Ltd until 2015.

From 2015 to 2017, Gareth worked as a Senior Quantity Surveyor at M & M Contractors. And since 2017, they have been employed at Obelisk, initially serving as a Commercial Manager from 2017 to 2019, after which they took on the role of Commercial Director starting from January 2019.

Gareth McKinley attended Abbey CBS Grammar Newry from 1992 to 2000. However, no specific degree or field of study is mentioned during this time. Gareth then pursued a BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying at Ulster University from 2000 to 2004.
