Jim Downs

Jim Downs is an accomplished professional in the field of event management and business development, currently serving as Sr. Director of Business Development at Ober Mountain since October 2022. Previously, Jim held various leadership roles, including General Manager at Rocky Top Sports World and Director of Events at the Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau. Experience encompasses extensive work in managing large-scale events for notable organizations, such as Disney and ESPN Media Networks, where Jim oversaw a wide range of outdoor and competitive sports events, including the Bassmaster Classic and the X Games. Jim holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education with a minor in Management from the State University of New York Cortland and completed Leadership Sevier in 2018.
