Deanna Bergdorf

Deanna Bergdorf serves as the Interim Director of Study Away and International Programs and Director of Winter Term and Global Learning at Oberlin College since September 2019. With extensive experience in education and support roles, Deanna has also acted as an Assistant Faculty at the Winter/Summer Institute since December 2010, and previously held positions such as Administrative and Fiscal Support Specialist at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Admissions Reader at Columbia Engineering. Additional experience includes a role as Graduate Assistant in the Office of Financial Aid and Educational Financing at Columbia University. Deanna's early career involved work as a Research Program Coordinator at Johns Hopkins University, an intern for the Women's Refugee Commission, and as a Pilates and Yoga Instructor. Educational credentials include a Doctorate of Education from Penn State University, an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, an MA from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a BA from SUNY Empire State College.
