Josh Jensen

VP, Communications at Oberlin College

Josh Jensen is the current Vice President of Communications at Oberlin College. Prior to their current role, Josh served as the Vice President for Enrollment and Communications at Whitman College from July 2016 to August 2021. In this role, Josh was responsible for leading the college's enrollment and communications efforts, including admission, financial aid, public and media relations, branding, content strategy, creative production, social and digital media, crisis communications and printing and mailing services. Josh also served as the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications at Connecticut College from October 2011 to June 2016. In this role, Josh was responsible for managing the development of strategy, content development, design and production for the College’s communications efforts, including its website, social media, magazine, video, print and electronic communications, and event-related collateral.

Josh Jensen's educational career began at Thayer Academy, a high school in Massachusetts. Josh then attended the University of Hartford, where they earned a B.Mus. in Music Education. After working for a few years, they decided to pursue an MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management. After earning their MBA, they worked in higher education administration for a few years before deciding to return to school to pursue a Ph.D. in Higher Education at Boston College.
