Josh Oppenheimer has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Josh started their career in 2003 at Oberon Technologies, where they served as the Principal/Vice President Sales, focusing on innovative interactive business solutions utilizing extended reality technologies. In the same year, they also founded Prototype Advertising, a full-service advertising agency that merged with Oberon Technologies in 2020 to form one of the largest dedicated VR/AR/XR companies in the country.
In 2006, Josh became the Owner/CEO/CMO of eco-x Sports, a race management company that currently operates multiple trail races. In 2010, they became a Partner/Investor at Beamer's 25 American Burger House, a gourmet burger restaurant operated by Parry Restaurant Group.
In 2011, Josh founded Bloop Frozen Yogurt, a self-serve yogurt shop with multiple locations in Charlottesville, Virginia. Josh was the Owner/CEO until 2016. Josh also founded Prototype Media in 2003, serving as the Owner/President and publishing multiple magazines until its sale to VistaGraphics in 2014.
Josh also ventured into the entertainment industry as the Owner/CEO of Proximo Entertainment, an MMA event company, from 2008 to 2013. Josh collaborated with Difference Engine Films as a Producer/Partner from 2011 to 2013, participating in the production of several movie projects.
Additionally, Josh had a brief stint as the Owner/President of SDA Health Products, specifically Arctic Spray, a brand providing relief for muscle and joint aches. Josh sold their interest in Arctic Spray to BLUE Ox Group in 2013. Josh also served as the Owner/CFO of HOPE Boards from 2007 to 2012.
Overall, Josh Oppenheimer has demonstrated their versatile skill set and entrepreneurial spirit through their various roles in sales, advertising, race management, food and beverage, media publishing, entertainment, and health products.
Josh Oppenheimer attended Liberty University from 1992 to 1996, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Marketing.
