David Buttress

David Buttress has worked for a variety of companies since 2017. In that year, they became a Venture Partner at 83North (formerly Greylock IL) and the Chairman of the Dragons Rugby Team at WRU. In 2018, they became a Non Executive Director and Investor at HungryPanda Ltd 龘猫外卖, and a Non Executive Director and Angel Investor at Obligo. In 2019, they became a Non Executive Chairman and Angel Investor at Karvi and an Angel Investor at Honest Food (part of Delivery Hero). In 2020, they became an Angel Investor and Board Member at elmenus, a Chairman of the Board at Zava, and a Board Advisor at Rappi. In 2022, they began working for the UK Government, No. 10 Downing Street and Cabinet Office as the Cost of Living Tsar.

David Buttress attended Croesyceiliog Comprehensive School, Cwmbran, Gwent from 1987 to 1994. David then attended Middlesex University from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Law and Business from the Middlesex University Business School. In 2017, they were awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Entreprenuership from Middlesex University.
