Sachin Basil John

Sachin Basil John is a Senior Software Engineer at Observe, Inc. since October 2023, with extensive experience in computer science research and software development. Sachin completed a PhD in Computer Science at EPFL from September 2017 to September 2023, where significant contributions included the design of a database system for efficient θ-joins and a novel high-dimensional data cube system. During a doctoral tenure, Sachin also worked as a Scientist, developing an optimistic concurrency control algorithm to enhance transaction throughput. Previous experiences include roles as a Student Research Assistant at EPFL, a Software Development Intern at Siemens, a Research Intern at RWTH Aachen University, and a Research Intern at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
