Aaron Sharp has over 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, database architecture, web development, and research. Aaron began their career in 2011 as a Web Developer Intern at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), where they programmed in Java, learned programming language semantics and good practice, and utilized Apache Struts and JavaServer Pages. From 2011 to 2016, Aaron worked at Brigham Young University as a Masters Student, Research Assistant, and Web Developer. During this time, they reviewed primary literature, managed and participated in DNA extraction and other lab procedures, drafted technical manuscripts, contributed ideas for project design and implementation in meetings, and completed research projects. Aaron also coded, debugged, maintained, and developed a complex website in PHP and created a suite of high quality unit tests, as well as managed server and database configuration. Since 2016, Aaron has been employed as a Database Architect and Software Developer at Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance, and more recently, as a Software Engineer at ObservePoint.

Aaron Sharp has a Bachelor of Science in Bioinformatics from Brigham Young University, which they obtained in 2014. Aaron then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Genome Sciences/Genomics from Brigham Young University in 2016. In addition, Aaron Sharp has obtained three certifications from LinkedIn. These include "Building Your Marketing Technology Stack" (January 2020), "Google Analytics Essential Training" (January 2020), and "Learning Web Analytics" (December 2019).
