Dave Smith

Dave Smith has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering industry since 2001. Dave started their career as a Software Tester Intern at Novell in 2001, followed by a Systems Programmer position at Brigham Young University in 2002. In 2003, they worked as a Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where they built Java mobile agents. From 2004 to 2009, they worked at Applied Signal Technology as a Senior Software Engineer, and then moved to LiveWire Test Labs as a Senior Software Engineer in 2009. After that, they worked at HireVue as a Lead Software Engineer and Director of Engineering from 2012 to 2016, where they built online video interviewing software and grew the engineering team from 3 to 50. In 2016, Dave moved to Amazon Alexa as a Senior Software Development Engineer. Dave then worked at eVisit as Vice President of Engineering from 2020 to 2022, before taking on the role of CTO at ObservePoint in 2022.

Dave Smith attended Brigham Young University from 1998 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
