Michael Fong

Senior Manager, Product Marketing and Go-To-Market at ObservePoint

Michael Fong has held various roles in the past nine years. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Data Analyst at Detica, where they were responsible for combining large and commercially sensitive datasets and was Defence Vetted for SC clearance. Michael also had sole responsibility for analysis and fraud modelling leading to a contract winning bid with a world top 10 banking client. From 2012 to 2015, they were an Analytics Architect and Insight Analyst at Tesco PLC, where they lead the Grocery Insight team in the use of Adobe/Omniture web analytics packages to measure performance by creating automated reports and developing new KPIs. Michael also reported web analytics KPIs to the very highest levels of management and reported errors and problems arising from new app/website version releases to developers. From 2015 to present, they have been a Senior Manager, Product Marketing and Go-To-Market, Senior Consultant/Solutions Engineer, and Managed Services Expert at ObservePoint. In this role, they provide consulting and ad-hoc technical solutions to ObservePoint customers, supporting the setup and continued use of automated digital analytics QA processes.

Michael Fong attended Manchester Grammar School prior to obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with Economics from UCL between 2006 and 2010. Michael has also obtained several certifications, including the ObservePoint Academy | ObservePoint Professional from ObservePoint in May 2022, the edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python from edX in August 2015, the GA IQ from Google in September 2015, and the edX Honor Code Certificate for Data Science and Machine Learning Essentials from edX.
