Kenda's career began with the Government of Saskatchewan's Ministry of Energy and Resources as a Field Technician from December 2007 to June 2010, and earlier experience includes consultancy work at Western Canadian Consulting from 2003 to 2006. Kenda Friesen is also a graduate of both Lethbridge Polytechnic and Medicine Hat College.
