Michael Faust has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Director at SAExploration since March 2017 and as Executive Chairman and CEO of Obsidian Energy Ltd. since May 2018. In addition to these roles, Michael leads as President and Chief Executive Officer at Parker Wellbore, with a tenure ending in April 2025. Prior positions include Vice President of Exploration and Land for ConocoPhillips in Alaska and Canada, and project management roles in the Chukchi Sea. Career foundations were built at Phillips Alaska, Arco Alaska, and ExxonMobil, where Michael held various positions in geoscience and exploration. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Geophysics from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Washington.
