Nick Carver

Senior II Technical Designer at Obsidian Entertainment

Nick Carver has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Nick started their career as a Networking Administrator at Carvercomm, where they installed and maintained Voice, Data, and Fiber lines on large-scale networks. Nick also led a small team and worked with multilevel servers.

Carver then joined Best Buy as a Best Buy Mobile Lead, where they acted as a leader and provided exceptional customer service. Nick received recognition for their performance and induction into the 100% club.

After their stint at Best Buy, Carver worked at Sprint Nextel as a National Retail Account Executive. In this role, they represented multiple accounts in the central Boston market, built relationships, and advocated for Sprint's product line.

Carver then transitioned to Broadsword Studios as an Indie Game Developer, where they developed games and honed their skills in various aspects of game development, including programming, design, art, UI, audio, and QA.

Following their passion for game development, Carver joined Verizon as a Solution Specialist, specializing in game development tools and integrated development environments.

Most recently, Carver has been working at Obsidian Entertainment. Nick began as a QA Tester and gradually progressed to roles such as Junior Designer, Systems Designer, Technical Designer, Senior Technical Designer, and currently holds the position of Senior II Technical Designer. Each role has allowed him to contribute to the design and development of game systems and bring their expertise to various projects.

Nick Carver attended Santa Fe College from 2004 to 2009, where they pursued their Associate's degree in General Science and Engineering. During their time at Santa Fe College, they also enrolled in Springfield Technical Community College from 2006 to 2007, focusing on Graphic Design. Later, in 2010 to 2011, they attended New England Institute of Technology and completed their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Game Development and Simulation Programming.
